Swiss gunsmiths from B&T AG showcased new models of self-loading pistols. The two new pistols, the P26 and KH9, are designed for self-defense, sports and shooting practice.

At the EnforceTac 2015 arms exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany, Swiss gunsmiths from B&T AG showcased new models of self-loading pistols. The main advantage of the new weapon of the Swiss company, according to its own representatives, is the high density of fire, as well as a very original design and increased ergonomics. Two new pistols are created for self-defense, sports and training shooting, for use by employees of private military and security companies. The new pistols received the P26 and KH9 markings. It is quite possible that they can be used by police units in cases where police officers' access to automatic weapons is limited for one reason or another. The company says separately that such a weapon can be ideal in cases where an armed police officer moves on a motorcycle.

The Swiss manufacturer B&T AG, when creating new models of small arms, was clearly inspired by the Interdynamic KG99 design, developed over 35 years ago by George Kellgren, well-known in the arms world. At the same time, the P26 self-loading pistol was created taking into account new technologies and using tighter tolerances, which increases its accuracy and reliability.

The B&T self-loading pistol P26 is a blowback weapon that is fed by a double-row magazine made of polymer material, which reduces the overall weight of the pistol. The magazine, by the way, is the same as for the APC-9 submachine gun. It has a capacity of 15 to 30 rounds and uses 9x19mm Parabellum ammunition. The pistol is equipped with a Ghost Ring type sight, which is supplied in the kit. The weapon has a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail located on top. It is with the help of the Picatinny rail that the optics can be placed. For the installation of other accessories, the P26 is equipped with shortened rails at the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions. There is a Dust Cover at the bottom.

The P26 pistol of the Swiss manufacturer is made of an aluminum alloy, and a polymer coating is also used. The barrel length of the pistol is about 175 mm. The pistol is equipped with a recoil buffer that reduces it to a minimum. This allows the shooter to shoot accurately and quickly. The total length of the self-loading pistol, taking into account the length of the retractable butt, is about 63.1 cm. If the butt is folded, then the length of the P26 is 40.1 cm. The mass of the weapon with cartridges in the magazine is 2, 7 kg, without cartridges - no more than 2, 3 kg. The stock makes a significant contribution to the total weight of the Swiss manufacturer's self-loading pistol.

The main feature of the KH9 pistol is the mixed type trigger. A special switch allows you to remove the pistol from the combat platoon, which ensures safe carrying of the weapon without using a manual safety catch. This pistol is also equipped with a Picatinny rail for mounting additional accessories. The pistol fires its first shot in a double-action trigger mechanism - the same as in most modern pistolless pistols.

The barrel of the KH9 pistol has a barrel length of 153 mm. The length of the weapon with the unfolded stock is about 63.3 mm, with the stock folded - 40.4 cm. The weight of the weapon is about 2.45 kg. For high-speed shooting, it is necessary to use a trigger pull of about 1 kg. The pistol has adjustable elements - front sight and rear sight.

The B&T KH9 Swiss self-loading pistol is powered by 9x19mm Parabellum cartridges. The cartridges are housed in a four-row Suomi magazine, which holds 50 rounds. The same magazine can use cartridges for B&T APC-9, for which a special adapter made of transparent polymer is provided. In the case of using cartridges for B&T APC-9, the maximum magazine capacity will be 30 ammunition.
