Good and loyal friends make our life better. It is fun to spend time with them, it is interesting to have conversations, it is cool to walk together and you can ask for help when there are difficulties. Where and how can you find friends when you are an adult? As we get older, we are more likely to lose old friends and less often to find new ones. The social circle narrows down to work and family, that we rarely start spending time with friends. Friends from childhood, from school, army or university. Where are they all? Old sidekicks disperse, change, become strangers, or imperceptibly cease to be friends.
At a certain moment in your life, you look around and notice that there are very few or no friends around. You were too chasing different goals in life that you didn't even immediately notice the gradual loss of friends and acquaintances. How can you make good friends as an adult?
1. Find yourself friends with the same interests. When we grow up, there is a desire to do what we have long dreamed of. Find new men's hobbies and hobbies that interest you. Try a foreign language, martial arts, crossfit, photography, mountain climbing, basketball, sailing or mind games. There are many adults in such places with similar interests. Close communication will help you find common ground and become friends. The more different hobbies there are, the more communication with different people. 3. Open up to connect with potential friends. Don't be withdrawn, sad, depressed, or whiner. Such people are bypassed by everyone. Smile more, be friendly, be optimistic, be open-minded, and don't be too serious. Be the first to start the conversation yourself, show interest in others and open up to communication. Listen to your interlocutors more often than speak. Maintain in the conversation topics that are interesting to the interlocutor.
4. Keep in touch with your friends. Friendship does not appear immediately, but it grows gradually. Friendship requires an investment of attention, time and effort. Maintain relationships, check in with friends, share your thoughts with them. Invest in relationships with friends. Do not forget to congratulate them on the holidays, take the initiative to communicate, invite them to walk together and respond to their suggestions.
