Despondent? I'm tired of all? Not in the mood? Tired? Burnt out? Overtaken a midlife crisis? Mired in everyday life? Are you suffering from depression? All this is fixable. How to improve your life and become happy?
"Depression is most often the result of inaction, lack of motivation and inability to perform." Ute Erhardt
Depression is the flip side of joy. The first step is not to feel sorry for yourself. Take a shower, drink some wine, watch a movie and get some sleep. If you want to cry. In the morning, start fighting depression. When troubles, heaviness and depression piled on, it is not scary. This is fixable. You will definitely be happy.
How to get out of depression and discouragement?
1. Get busy
Be like a shark. If they stop swimming but drown. The best weapon against depression is being busy. Stay physically and mentally busy. This will allow you not to think stupid when you are doing useful, necessary and interesting things.
2. Unleash the chaos around
Lots of things to do and don't know where to start? Do small things right away. If it takes about 15 minutes of time, then do it right away or forget it. This will allow you not to accumulate small matters, will help to put things in order at home and at work. Do everything that you did not want to do, but you have to. Chaos, disorder and blockages lead to depression.
3. Find your problem
Often there is a cause for depression and discouragement. These can be personal problems, dissatisfaction with professional activities, a hated job, family difficulties, or health problems. Try to find the reason for your sadness. Difficulties should be fought, not run away from them. Find your problem and fix it.
4. Move forward
Often we have no idea how to change our lives for the better. This causes us fear, apathy and depression. If you don't know where to start, then start with the first steps to change and setting small goals. Do what will definitely help you in life. Start learning a foreign language, go in for sports, tidy up your appearance, learn something new. Move forward as many steps as you know. The movement will bring fresh ideas, opportunities and chances that were lacking at the beginning of the journey.
5. Find your hobbies
Maybe you don't have enough time for yourself? Take care of your hobbies or hobbies. Try yourself in something new. Do not be isolated, but try as much of the unknown as possible. Maybe you miss crossfit, dancing, martial arts, diving, motorcycle trial, marathon, surfing or painting in your life? Find your passion.
6. Stop comparing and surfing social media
Constantly comparing yourself to other people leads to depression. Stop imitating a happy and successful life on social media. Better deal with real life.
7. Get rid of negative people
We are often drowned by those who are supposed to help. A toxic other half, envious friends or conflicted relatives. Throw people out of your life who only spoil your mood. Get rid of negative people and find like-minded people. Find people with whom you are close in spirit.
8. Get active and start eating healthier foods
An active lifestyle helps orgasm produce endorphins, or hormones of happiness. Exercise regularly will have a positive effect on your mood and well-being. Healthy food will give strength to the body and mind, which will push for a change for the better.
9. See a doctor
We are not used to going to a psychologist to resolve our emotional problems. But when we have a toothache, we go to the dentist. When our eyesight falls, we turn to an ophthalmologist. See a psychotherapist. A professional will help unravel the tangle of thoughts and drive out depression together with you.
10. Try something new and find yourself
Find yourself a new goal or dream. Go on a journey, go to an unfamiliar place, meet new people, change your lifestyle, find another job, move to another city. Take a chance to deal with the depression that is destroying you. Try everything that you previously wanted, but was afraid of. Try something new and find yourself.
Depression is not a sentence, but an internal enemy and problem # 1. Problems must be solved, not run away from them. It's time to be happy!
