Selfishness is a form of service. If you do what you love and which brings you joy, then only then will you succeed in doing it and serve others well. Only then will you be well paid, you will serve your family well, and you will have something to share with others. Selfishness is the path to altruism.
Be selfish about your time. Learn to say no to all those things that you don't want to do and that are not interesting to you. You are serving no one when you scatter your efforts. Say "no" to everything that prevents you from saying "yes" to your favorite business. This way, you will give your full attention to what you like, and you will be better at it. Ultimately, you will serve everyone, including yourself, much better.
Be selfish in helping. Am I encouraging you to stop helping people? In no case. I only urge you to offer help sincerely to those who ask for it, and selfishly to those who need it. Many people need help - we all know this very well. But many of those who need help simply do not want to accept it. So you shouldn't help such people. People in need of help usually cannot appreciate the service provided and, moreover, rarely use it to their advantage. Don't waste your time. Instead, help those who sincerely ask for your help. They will gratefully accept it and use it in the best possible way. Help as many people as you can, but only to those who really want to be helped. This will bring more satisfaction to you and more benefit to those who receive help.
