13 young Russian designers will demonstrate capsule collections at the Super exhibition, and already well-known Russian brands will present their spring-summer 2015 collections in the Milan showroom.
From September 20 to 22, 13 young Russian designers will demonstrate capsule collections at the Super exhibition, and already well-known Russian brands - Alena Ahmadullina, Vassa, Laroom, Julia Dalakian and Yulia Prokhorova - will present their spring-summer 2015 collections at the Sari Spazio showroom in Milan as part of the international of the #OpenRussianFashion program, initiated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and aimed at supporting Russian designers and manufacturers abroad.
The Super exhibition in Milan is organized by Pitti Imagine, one of the most influential exhibition companies in Europe, which, among other things, hosts Pitti Uomo in Florence. Super is an international business platform for over 200 young fashion talents, attracting over 6,000 buyers each season from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the United States. This year, the main Super event will be the collective stand #OpenRussianFashion, which brings together 13 brands of clothing and accessories that not only have a Russian residence permit, but also produce collections in Russia. Our country will be represented in Milan by Alexander Khrisanfov, Georgy Rushev, Natalie Leskova, Yanina Vekhteva, Anna Slavutina, Maria Golubeva, Lyuda Nikishina, Natasha Vainshtok, brands Katerinafee, LES’, OSOME2SOME, Sol’Designers, Mineral Weather.
The Russian presence at Milan Fashion Week will be expanded from the famous showroom Sari Spazio, which will present to buyers the spring-summer 2015 collections of five successful Russian brands - Alena Ahmadullina, Vassa, Laroom, Julia Dalakian, Yulia Prokhorova. This year Sari Spazio is celebrating its 25th anniversary, which will draw additional attention to the collective presentation of Russian designers. As part of the #OpenRussianFashion program, on September 22, Sari Spazio will host an open day for the press and specialists with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the National Fashion Chamber of Italy (Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana), the Assomoda Fashion Agents and Distributors Association, as well as Russian designers.

“Russian fashion houses have been participating in professional events in Milan, Paris and New York for a long time, working directly with showrooms. A certain success of Russian designers in the past few years has shown that Russia can create a product that is interesting on international markets,”says Viktor Evtukhov, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, in charge of light industry. “That is why we are initiating the #OpenRussianFashion program to collectively represent Russian designers and manufacturers at major international venues. This is the first such experience, consolidating the efforts of individual market participants for a full-fledged international positioning not only of their products, but also of the country. The already planned events in Milan and Beijing will help test Russian manufacturers for compliance with international requirements. Today there is a lot of talk about import substitution, including in the field of light industry. But if Russian clothing can compete abroad, the process of import substitution within Russia will be easy and natural. By supporting collective participation abroad, #OpenRussianFashion can give impetus to the development of designers in the domestic market."
The #OpenRussianFashion events will take place in Milan in September and Beijing in October. Negotiations are underway with international exhibitions in Paris, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Dusseldorf and Florence.
