On August 12, Moscow hosted an official press conference on the eve of the battle of the decade - a duel between super-heavyweights Vladimir Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin, which will take place on October 5 in Moscow at the Olimpiyskiy sports complex.
The best heavyweights of the world met in journalists in the loft-quarter "Danilovskaya Manufaktura" in the Mary Jane restaurant. The Russian side at the event was represented by the organizer of the loudest fight of the decade, Andrei Ryabinsky, heavyweight, WBA world champion Alexander Povetkin, and the coach of the invincible Russian Knight Alexander Zimin.

The press conference opened with a question about the start of ticket sales and the pool of television channels broadcasting the battle. The organizer of the fight and the owner of the right to conduct the fight, Andrei Ryabinsky, immediately clarified: “We are organizing a grand event in the world of sports and are confident that there will be no empty seats in the hall. Tickets for the Klitschko-Povetkin fight will go on sale in August and will be ranked by price category, including inexpensive ones, so that everyone can watch the fight. The fight will be broadcasted by several TV channels including HBO (USA), RTL (Germany) and Channel One (Russia). As for my future plans, I would like to organize fights, but I'm only interested in competitive and high-profile fights."

From the K2 promotion company to the first official media event in Moscow came the super heavyweight, WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO champion belt winner Vladimir Klitschko, as well as Bernd Bönte, general manager of the Klitschko Management Group promotion company.

“We have a long history with Alexander, the question of our meeting in the ring has been raised more than once. It has now been resolved. And, first of all, I want to thank the organizer of the fight - Andrey Ryabinsky, - the Ukrainian heavyweight said at the beginning of the meeting with journalists. Only thanks to his efforts, the battle will take place on October 5 in Moscow. Alexander is an Olympic champion, he has not lost a single fight. I see his will to win and his fighting spirit, and I know that it will not be easy. But I'm ready, I promise the fight will be intriguing. I consider Alexander to be the most worthy rival, sincerely I wish him good luck in the second stage of preparation and, of course, in battle."
Alexander Povetkin also expressed gratitude to the organizers and the K2 promotion company for the opportunity to fight the strongest heavyweight in the world and confidently confirmed to the audience his fighting spirit: “I can safely say that I am ready for a fight. I have a very strong coaching staff, I train all the time. Now the second stage of preparation will begin, which will include boxing training and sparring, so I am not distracted by anything else, I am aware of the huge responsibility and will approach the main fight in my life in my best shape. I have something to oppose to Vladimir."

The first official press conference, which brought together more than 300 journalists from the leading Russian and European media, ended in the so-called "duel of views" of the two super heavyweights, which lasted more than a minute. Both rivals warmly thanked each other for the first meeting and once again wished each other good luck.
