On May 15, the Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery hosted a press conference for the opening of Kids Fashion Days.
The Kids Fashion Days project kicked off with an official press conference at the Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery. A podium for small models was set up in the sunny courtyard, and in the gallery itself there was a serious discussion of the prospects for the development of the children's fashion market in Belarus.
The journalists' questions were answered by:
- Yanina Goncharova, Chairperson of the Belarusian Fashion Chamber, - Svetlana Todorskaya, director of BelModistka LLC, - Yulia Tikar, designer of TM "Nefertari", - Oksana Kavetskaya, director of the Kid's podium school of models, - Irina Prokhorenko, head of the Bell Bimbo design bureau.
Kids Fashion Days cannot be called a completely new project: it “grew” out of the “Children's Fashion” charity event as part of Belarus Fashion Week. “It can be considered that Kids Fashion Days are held for the sixth time, or it can be considered for the first time,” noted Yanina Goncharova. She said that children's fashion shows are not only a cultural event, but also a charity event: together with the Chance Foundation, Kids Fashion Days will raise funds to purchase medicines for three-year-old Sapriko Ksenia from Minsk. In addition, pupils of two orphanages will become long-awaited guests at the fashion show. They will receive pleasant gifts and an entertainment program from the BFW Organizing Committee and partners - the show project "Kolesso" and the Family Club cultural and entertainment center for the whole family.

This season, only Belarusian brands are on the podium, but Yanina Goncharova shared information about the negotiations that are underway with foreign designers and companies. It is possible that at the next Kids Fashion Days the geography of the participants will become much more diverse. The organizers hope that the project will become one of the most successful fashion events in the country.

Journalists became interested in the price of children's clothing: can Belarusian parents afford it? While clothes from BelModistka and Bell Bimbo are quite affordable for dads and moms, the Nefertari brand makes dresses of one ball, which simply cannot be budgetary. But there is a demand for stunningly beautiful clothes from Nefertari not only in Minsk, but even in small Belarusian cities; many orders are coming from Russia.

We also discussed fashion trends. According to Irina Prokhorenko, children's fashion keeps up with adults, and many elements from adult collections come to children's ones. But the main fashionable recipe from Kids Fashion Days is not to follow trends, but to remember the individuality of the child.
Kids Fashion Days - trendy kids, trendy parents!
