On April 23-28, 2013, Minsk will host the 6th edition of the international professional and cultural event Belarus Fashion Week (Fashion Week in Belarus) of the Fall-Winter 2013/2014 season
In the upcoming season, Fashion Week in Belarus is held with the support of the official partners of the project - the shoe company Belwest, the company that produces bags and leather goods Galanteya, the Belarusian companies Milavitsa, Conte, Stetskevich-overalls, as well as the Cuccio Color brand (Star Beauty Service company). The creative partner of the event is the ARTDECO cosmetic brand. In addition, Belarus Fashion Week is supported by the Bellegprom concern.
As in the previous season, the official program of Belarus Fashion Week provides for two sites: the main podium (National Exhibition Center "BelExpo", Prospect Pobediteley, 14) and the OFF SCHEDULE program, created for the shows of young designers and the presentation of new brands. OFF SCHEDULE's partner is the Museum of the History of Minsk (the art museum of Mikhail Savitsky), on the site of which shows of young brands will be held.
The list of participants in Belarus Fashion Week of the FW 2013/2014 season includes leading Belarusian designers (BOITSIK, FUR GARDEN, MARINICH, TARAKANOVA, Historia Naturalis, KUCHERENKO, Davidova, Natasha TSU RAN, Svetlana Todorskaya, Harydavets & Efremova, Lena Tsokalenko), who have presented their collections on the professional BFW catwalk. In addition, in this issue on the main site of the Fashion Week in Belarus, “newcomers” of the season - designers Maria Dubinina, Valeria & Anastasia Aksionovi and Zina Fedunina will show their collections. Undoubtedly, participation in Belarus Fashion Week contributes to the professional development of a designer's career by increasing the number of consumers and customers of clothing, as well as a high-quality assessment of collections and images by professional media, fashion figures and colleagues.
Thanks to the guest collections, which will also be presented to the BFW fashion audience, and international guests of the Fashion Week, Belarus Fashion Week acquires the legal right to be called an international fashion platform. Among the invited designers this season, it is worth noting Aida KaumeNova (Kazakhstan), Yuliya Polishchuk (Ukraine), N by Z, Lat'el, Diana Pavlovskaya (Russia), as well as representatives of Fashion Philosophy Fashion Week Poland. The show of the collection Dmitry Sholokhov for O. Jen, which the famous designer created together with a successful Belarusian enterprise and has already managed to present at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, will become a real gift to the Belarusian audience. This season's Fashion Week will be closed by Roksolana Bogutska (Lviv), a world-famous designer who has presented collections on European catwalks more than once.
In addition, in the upcoming season, representatives of foreign media and honorary guests from different countries of the world are planning to visit Belarus Fashion Week (for example, Mario Boselli - head of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, heads of Portuguese Fashion Week, representatives of the international design platform Design42day, etc.), which, undoubtedly, will positively illuminate the Fashion Week in Belarus and include our designers in global trends and tendencies. The organizers of Belarus Fashion Week are confident that this cultural and professional event from season to season has a positive effect on the image of Belarus abroad, which is precisely one of the main goals of the development of a modern state. In addition, over the past five seasons of the project, the BFW Organizing Committee managed to establish partnerships with many Fashion Weeks in the world, which made it possible to start forming a positive image among our foreign colleagues about the level of Belarusian fashion and the professionalism of our designers.
In addition to the shows at the main pavilion, the Belarus Fashion Week program will include a number of official sub-projects of the BFW Organizing Committee, such as the New Names BFW competition for young designers (with the support of Kupalinka and Svitanak), the Fashion Study Center, a blogger and fashion competition - Fashion Blog Competition journalists (with the support of velcom) and a series of official receptions. In the upcoming season, within the framework of the Educational Center, the BFW Organizing Committee, together with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, will present the program of the New York Fashion Film Festival - a series of short films about fashion and style that will be broadcast on the main pavilion during the show days.
Belarus Fashion Week also brings together other cultural projects of our country: for example, during the BFW period there will be three exhibitions at once dedicated to style, culture, photography and art. From April 18 to May 5, the National Historical Museum will host an international exhibition of decorative and applied art “Farbs of Souls”, which will bring together 80 participants from 8 countries. On April 24, two exhibitions will open at once: in the art gallery of Mikhail Savitsky - an exhibition of photographs by Pyotr Vinnichka "Backstage", and in the National Historical Museum - "The history of the Belarusian costume".
