One of the first European Fashion Weeks of the Fall-Winter 2013/2014 season was Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlinwhich took place from 15 to 18 January in the capital of Germany. “Berlin is a place for fashion” - this is how you can translate the slogan of the Fashion Week, which for the 12th time gathers European fashionistas and industry professionals under one roof.
The geography of designers this season is quite extensive: African countries, Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey - and this is not a complete list of MBFWB participating countries. In total, about 50 designers were represented on the schedule, who demonstrated their collections during 5 days of the project. Also, according to the estimates of the organizers, during the Fashion Week there were about 25,000 guests in the city, who could attend not only the shows at the pavilion, but also presentations, professional and entertainment events. Among the eminent guests of MBFWB were Renee Zellweger, Edward Norton, Karlie Kloss and many others.

Undoubtedly, each Fashion Week is, first of all, a place and time for communication with colleagues, partners and professionals of the fashion industry from all over the world. So, for example, it happened at MBFWB - meetings of the head of the BFW Organizing Committee Yanina Goncharova with the head Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia Alexander Shumsky and the head Fashion Philosophy Fashion Week Poland Jacek Klak took place this time on "foreign territory". Nevertheless, this did not prevent, in the end, to come to important agreements and to determine strategies for cooperation with each of the Fashion Weeks!
Another interesting event of the working trip of the BFW Organizing Committee was the acquaintance with representatives of Temporary showroomwho plan to visit Belarus Fashion Week in the upcoming season.
Organizing committee Belarus Fashion Week strives to develop friendships and partnerships with all Fashion Weeks. In addition to searching for new names in clothing design, it is important to familiarize yourself with the specifics of organizing events of this level. Thus, the main purpose of the trip can be considered a meeting with the management. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin and representatives IMG Fashion Sebastian Bennewitz and Jens Albers.
All participants of this meeting had a unique opportunity to discuss the conditions for holding the Fashion Week in Berlin, the entire organizational process "from A to Z", exchange views on fashion business in each country, and also prepare a project for further cooperation.
The German side highly appreciated the work of the BFW Organizing Committee on the preparation of the international cultural and professional event Fashion Week in Belarus, which will undoubtedly have a positive effect on the further development of joint projects.
Thus, the working visit to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin became productive for the BFW Organizing Committee, the results of which we hope will see already next season.
