Your parachute failed, your plane was in a disaster, or you were thrown out by bandits. You fall without a parachute and most likely die. But you still have a small chance to escape!
Of course, it's hard to imagine that you decided to jump out of an airplane without taking a parachute with you, I confess that your chances of survival are small, but what if this happened? In such a situation, you need to react very quickly. If the height of the fall is about 3.5 km, then you will have only 60 seconds before "landing". In free fall, the descent speed is approximately 201 km / h. If you stretch your legs and arms, then this distance can be covered in 60 seconds.
In the first second of the fall, look for some body of water below. Because if you flop into the water at such a speed, the sensations will, of course, not be pleasant, but at least you will have a chance to survive if the depth of this reservoir is at least 3 meters. Once you have found a target, direct your body in that direction (it would be better, of course, if you have been skydiving before) and dive straight into the water.

If there is not a single body of water below you, try using the following methods. For example, during the Second World War, one person had to jump from an airplane from a height of more than 5 km without a parachute. He found with his eyes the largest tree and began to descend. Flying through the pine branches, he successfully landed in a snowdrift. So, as a last resort, look for trees and hope for luck.

If you fall into a settlement where there are practically no trees and water, and you cannot find more than one pool, then you are looking for something flat and large. For example, a large truck or, if possible, a mobile home. As a rule, these structures are not durable. And if you fall on them, they will slow down your fall a little and take part of the blow. Whether or not they will soften your blow is unknown. There is only one way to check this, but we do not recommend that you tempt your fate!
Do you think this is impossible? That year, Briton Gary Connery jumped without a parachute from a height of 730 meters. A special suit was used for the jump. The flight speed, after three seconds, reached 130 km / h. Harry Connery landed on special cardboard boxes.
