There were more than enough reasons that prompted you once to cross the threshold of a sports club: the desire to lose weight and fit into old jeans, hit a girl, pump up for a vacation … But the vacation passed, the girl stopped liking, the extra pounds were lost (or remained), and enthusiasm trainings have noticeably decreased. Why? After all, you really liked the classes … Sometimes circumstances force this. For example, a change of place of residence: when a favorite club is “off the road”, it becomes more difficult to attend trainings. A series of holidays, vacations break the usual routine, and it is not easy to return to classes. The coach quit. The schedule has changed. However, there are many athletes who overcome such difficulties. Because they keep the main thing: inner attitude and motivation.
Strive to fulfill your own, and not someone else's, desire
Set yourself a long-term goal. “The doctor says it's time for me to lose weight”, “Girls like cubes on the press” - this has nothing to do with your aspirations, and therefore will not work. You have to do what you want, not what someone else needs.
Set yourself a deadline
One of the main conditions of a long-term “love affair with fitness” is habit. It is known to be produced on the 21st day. With sports - a little longer, because you do not go to classes every day. Keep this in mind the first time you may need to force yourself to exercise. Our body must get used to stress, so that later they become a real need for it.


Forewarned is forearmed!
Each of us has moments when we want to quit fitness. Most often they fall on the following periods:
Second or third month of classes. At first, you enjoy new impressions, and your body enjoys physical activity, which many of us are deprived of in everyday life. There is an active production of hormones of joy. And suddenly the effect of novelty disappears. And instead of it comes the feeling of “gray sports routine”.
Six to eight months. First plateau time. After the first victories, not everyone manages to survive the first disappointments, or rather, the lack of results. At this moment, it is extremely important to learn how to look for and discover something new in fitness, varying the load.
Year. The first point in time when it seems to a person that he has been going to the club for a very long time, knows everything and can do everything. On the one hand, you have already developed a habit of exercising if it was regular. On the other hand, it seems to you that you got everything you could from the training, or, on the contrary, did not achieve any sense. Try to switch, choose a different goal for yourself, or start training individually.
