Over the twelve years of its existence, the Russian Fashion Week (since 2011 - Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia) has taken its rightful place in the calendar of world fashion events.
From 18 to 22 October 2012, the 25th anniversary Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia will be held in Moscow. More than 50 designers from Russia, Ukraine, Great Britain, Italy and the United States will present their collections at the new main site of the Fashion Week - at the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall (Manezhnaya Square, 1). The participants will show the collections of the Spring-Summer 2013 season.
Over the twelve years of its existence, the Russian Fashion Week (since 2011 - Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia) has taken its rightful place in the calendar of world fashion events, along with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York.
On October 18, the 25th anniversary season of the largest Eastern European Fashion Week starts. According to tradition, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia will be opened by Slava Zaitsev, a couturier who has become not only a legend of Russian fashion, but also the first Russian designer of the second half of the last century, about whom the whole world spoke. This year the fashion house of Vyacheslav Mikhailovich turned 30, in honor of which an exhibition of the most striking works of the couturier will be held from 18 to 31 October 2012 at the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall. The first retrospective exhibition will be supported by Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia. For two weeks, everyone will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the masterpieces of the designer, to trace his creative path, from 1982 to the present day. The exhibition will present the inimitable luxury and chic of the maestro's creativity; it will display exclusive dresses created by the couturier over the years of the Fashion House's existence.
The schedule of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia includes the top lineup of domestic fashion: Tatiana Parfenova, BESSARION, Dasha Gauser, Yulia Nikolaeva, Oleg Biryukov, KhakaMa, Tegin, BORODULIN'S, LEONID ALEXEEV, YeZ by YEGORZAITSEV, POUSTOVIT, Lena Tsokalenko and others … Traditionally, the main heroes of the Fashion Week will be not only recognized leaders of the Russian fashion space, but also talented debutants. And if last season their collections were presented mainly in the format of presentations, then in the upcoming season Maria Golubeva, Goga Nikabadze and others will show full-fledged collections on the catwalks of the Fashion Week.
British Ozwald Boateng and Giles Deacon will show at the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall as part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia foreign program. The Italian brand PAL ZILERI and the Thai fashion designer KAI will also present their collections.
