On March 15, in one of the schools near Moscow, an unusual event was held with the participation of famous athletes. World boxing champion Kostya Tszyu, famous sports promoter Vladimir Khryunov and the lead singer of the Blue Berets group Denis Platonov held an open Lesson of Courage for 300 pupils of gymnasium No. 5 in Krasnogorsk.
Kostya Dzyu shared with the guys his thoughts on what courage is, and explained why it is so important to play sports from childhood. “Sport fosters determination, character, self-discipline,” the absolute world boxing champion began his open lesson for schoolchildren. - The most important thing is to set yourself a goal in life. Just today, write down your goal in your diaries, and remember this every day. Be persistent and you will achieve it. How did I become a champion? I worked all the time. My motto is: never give up."
According to the champion, courage must be brought up from childhood, and both men and women must be strong: “Guys must be brave, courageous and strong. Girls can also be strong - their strength is in kindness."
“Answering your questions today, I myself have learned a lot, first of all, about myself,” Tszyu admitted at the end of the meeting with schoolchildren. - When I myself began to teach athletes, I moved to the category of a teacher, that is, a coach, I realized that training and education is a reciprocal process. The teacher not only teaches, but also learns a lot from his students. Thank you for this wonderful lesson."
After talking with the guys, Kostya Tszyu, Vladimir Khryunov and Denis Platonov, who gave the children and their parents this unusual holiday, signed autographs, took part in a photo session and presented gifts to the school.
At the press conference of the "Star Ring", which took place a day earlier at the METROPOL hotel, Kostya Tszyu, who is again preparing Denis Lebedev as a coach, assured that the fight is not easy, but very interesting: "Denis has great victories over boxing legends - Roy Jones and James Toney, but here a younger, hungry opponent awaits him, very ambitious, which should not be underestimated. This can be a disservice. We prepare for each battle as for the most important. I hope that our joint work will bring Denis to the highest level, and he will win all the titles and become the absolute champion."
