World boxing star James Toney visited Moscow as part of a promotional tour ahead of his high-profile fight against Russian Denis Lebedev, which will take place on November 4, 2011
The scandalous American himself challenged the Russian boxer, who in May of this year knocked out the equally titled athlete Roy Jones. Then Tony expressed a desire to visit Moscow in order to personally get acquainted with the opponent and visit the site where the fight will take place.
Tony's 4-day visit turned out to be quite intense. To live in the capital of Russia, James Toney chose a country residence, where the famous boxer trained daily in a specially equipped gym, swam in an indoor pool, went to the sauna and even played golf. An obligatory requirement of the athlete was the provision of his own executive class car with a driver and a helicopter to move outside the Moscow Ring Road.
The schedule of meetings with journalists and fans turned out to be quite busy. “I love Russia and have heard a lot about your hospitality, but it turned out to be even better than I expected. The promoters have created all the necessary conditions for me. I train for three hours 3 times a day, plus a certain diet. The schedule was drawn up in such a way that I had time to do everything and did not deviate from the regime,”said James Toney following his visit.

The famous boxer and 6-time world champion James Toney was also supported by Russian world boxing stars Denis Lebedev, Kostya Tszyu and Alexander Povetkin, who also came to meet with their many fans, who gathered last Saturday in a shopping mall on Kashirskoye Shosse. The most distinguished athletes personally donated boxing gloves and Vegas T-shirts with autographs.
The first to step onto the Vegas Walk of Fame was the world famous 6-time world champion James "Put out the light" Tony. The scandalous American gladly answered questions from his fans and gathered journalists, and signed autographs. Despite being late for the appointed time, fans were patiently waiting for James. And he could easily explain this nuisance: “I didn’t expect Moscow to have the same traffic jams as in New York. Today we drove as long as it took me to get from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. By the way, your Vegas is no worse than the American one, there are just as many lights and entertainment."
During his communication with fans and journalists, James talked a lot about the upcoming fight, and then decided to choose the brightest Russian beauty. The lucky woman had enough rivals, but a tall blonde won, who won a valuable prize - golden boxing gloves from the hands of the American himself.
At the end of James's autograph session, his rival in the upcoming fight, Russian boxer Denis Lebedev, appeared on the Vegas Walk of Fame, who came to support the coach, the absolute world champion, Kostya Tszyu, friend Alexander Povetkin, as well as his wife and three daughters. While the three Russian boxers were signing autographs, Denis Lebedev's family went for a walk around the shopping mall.

After the end of the events in Moscow, James Toney returned to Los Angeles, where he intends to continue his many hours of daily training in order to demonstrate his best form at the boxing show "Not a Step Back" on November 4. Denis Lebedev continues to prepare for a fight in Chekhov near Moscow under the leadership of Konstantin Tszyu.
