An easy way to combat laziness
An easy way to combat laziness

Laziness is considered something independent of a person, but this is complete nonsense. Laziness is just certain patterns of behavior, habits. And habits can be changed. A way to deal with laziness.

Don't let your soul get lazy!

So that the water does not crush in the mortar, The soul is obliged to work

And day and night, and day and night!

Nikolay Zabolotsky I want to tell you about my way of fighting laziness. To apply it, you do not need willpower, you do not need a special mindset, possession of enthusiasm, no depression, an awl in the ass, NLP courses and Shaolin monastery. It is enough just to perform actions that even the laziest person in the world is capable of.

Before getting down to business, I will dispel two myths associated with the concept of "laziness". Two myths that prevent millions of people from being lazy.

The first myth is this: laziness is considered something independent of a person, an integral and unavoidable trait of character. This is complete nonsense. Laziness is just certain patterns of behavior, habits. And habits can be changed.

The second myth lies in the phrase "Laziness is when I do nothing." This is also complete nonsense. Because when a person says “I’m lazy,” he doesn’t do anything, but:

1) eats;

2) watching TV;

3) listens to music;

How to understand what you want from life? 5 steps to dream and goal
How to understand what you want from life? 5 steps to dream and goal

4) watching a movie;

5) surfs the Internet;

6) plays a computer game;

7) reads books;

8) lying on the couch;

9) chatting, walking or drinking with friends and neighbors;

10), etc.

These are all actions. Another thing is that when these actions begin to take six hours a day, they begin to interfere with life.

Therefore, a more correct definition would be the following: "Laziness is useless actions."

And now the method itself. It consists in a single phrase: "To stop being lazy, you have to do nothing."

I am not kidding. I have been using this method for two years now. I started using it right during severe depression.

How is this method applied? Let's say you need to take some action. You decide (or better, write it down on paper) when you start this business and how long you will do it. Let's say you start doing this at 11:00 and you will do it for the next two hours (until there is until 13:00).

At 11:00, you start fighting laziness by doing nothing. That is, you terminate all the cases listed above. In general, you stop doing anything. Just sit or stand in the room. There is no need to lie down, this will put the body into a state of sleep.

Soon (for me - in the next few minutes) you will feel that you can get to work. A clarification will come in my head what needs to be done right now. And you will start to do it.

What impulse buy has changed people's lives forever?
What impulse buy has changed people's lives forever?

Immediately I insure against a possible mistake - in order to get to work, it is enough to know the nearest action. You don't need to imagine the entire scope of work. If the first step is to click the Start button, click the Start button even if you don’t know what the next action will be (or don’t want to take). After you press, soon you will remember and want.

If, while working, you again feel a fit of laziness, stop doing something again. And soon you will be back in working condition again.

It's all. This method can be applied at any time for any business. I repeat - nothing else needs to be done. You don't need to convince yourself that you have to work. There is no need to "make an effort on yourself." It is not necessary, moreover, you cannot crush your thoughts. Thoughts should be allowed to flow freely and in any direction. If the work is interrupted by the "stream of consciousness" - it's not scary. I specifically measured - the longest of these "streams of thought" lasts seven minutes. And it stops, often giving you a useful idea.

And finally, I note that you can start using this method not at 11:00, but right now. Just stop doing anything.
