The ocean … Majestic and calm, raging and noisy, dark and ghostly, wise and eloquent. He keeps many secrets and mysteries, he teaches us and does not forgive mistakes, even the smallest ones. This ocean is called Life. We all belong to this ocean, we are its children. In it we are born and die, fall in love and forget, get married and get divorced, find and lose friends … From the very first minute of our appearance in the light of God, barely opening our eyes and having tasted mother's milk, we plunge headlong into its waters … We begin to learn about it, and he gets to know us. He endows us with his wisdom and skills so that we can survive, and not go to the bottom like the Titanic, which does not always work out.
Most often, people "float" on this ocean together, that is, in pairs, a man and a woman. Sometimes it happens that two men or two women start to "swim". But let's not touch on this very, very delicate, even, I'm not afraid of this word, confidential topic. This should be discussed at a different time, in a different place and in private, as our esteemed Arkady Raikin said. Let's not get distracted. They float in pairs, well, let them float. Flag in their hands!
Of course, there are also exceptions, i.e. Among the total number of participants in the "swim" there are lonely "swimmers" and "swimmers" who either got ahead or were hopelessly behind. So what are the reasons that prompted these people to "swim" alone? What made them make this decision? Why don't they fit into the total?
There are many reasons. If you describe each separately, then there is simply not enough time for this. Most likely, this category of people simply rejected the pair swimming style or completely rejects it. How, sooner or later, in pairs, there are some conflicts, disputes, in which direction to "swim", and in general, is it worth it?
Sometimes it happens that a couple breaks up, for some time "swims" apart, but, having tasted all the delights of loneliness, sooner or later reunites to continue "swimming" together …
And the loners? Some of them initially become so, and someone received such a status only later. Maybe it's some kind of personal drama, unrequited love, or just tired! And that's it! But, one way or another, these lonely "swimmers" feel quite confidently in such an "interesting" position. We will not deny that this has its advantages, even, if you like, a certain freedom of creativity: wherever I want - there and I “float”, I do not depend on anyone, and no one depends on me.
As a rule, these are purposeful and self-confident people, they know very well that they have no one to expect help, they rely solely on their own strength and endurance. Not to climb into someone else's life and not to allow anyone to climb into theirs - this is their main credo. If you ask them for help, they will not refuse, even offer their services themselves, but up to a certain limit. True, sometimes they may demand something in return - either a modest payment, or a very modest reciprocal help.
These “swimmers” have one more little nuance: they do not create illusions. They perceive life as it is, live by the reality that revolves around them. They do an excellent job with household chores, cook well, know how to receive guests (modestly). Almost everyone (everyone) in the house always has a stock of necessary products, things, household items, kitchen utensils. The instinct for self-preservation prompts them to make such supplies.
Honestly, they are sincerely sorry, they take on a double burden. The men wash and wash the floors in their house, stand by the stove, wash the dishes … This is, in general, normal, but a woman can do this kind of work better and faster! A woman in general can handle any job, even a man's. There are women drivers, car mechanics, gas and electric welders (!), Even plumbers, more precisely, plumbers. And yet, men do better with those male duties prescribed by nature!
If we have already touched on the topic of nature, then how can we not mention its basic instinct, I mean sex with all the ensuing consequences! In "doubles" swimming, everything is clear and simple. There, everything is near and at hand, at any time of the day or night and anywhere. Unless, of course, some have a headache (sorry for the expression). And what about them, loners? They want it too! It is even unbearable how you want sex! How to be and what to do? Well, they - the unhappy ones - have to go in search of their own kind, violating their principles and temporarily revising their credo, which was mentioned above.
After some time, the unbridled craving for sex again makes itself felt, the search for a partner begins again, again acquaintances, meetings, etc. etc. Everything is repeated to the smallest detail, the only difference is in the time of joint life. But it ends in much the same way. Blowing kisses, tears, promises to call you …
It’s good if it doesn’t come to the division of acquired property! Yes, it happens! While together, everything is in common, but how they scatter, and it began! I bought this, so it’s mine, and you bought it, so it’s yours. Yes, they bought something together, went to the store together, chose together, washed together. But they forgot about it instantly!
Some "loners" are so petty that they even share forks and spoons! Well, they have such a nature, nature created them like that. They long ago decided for themselves: that's it, no more, no more, I live alone or alone, that's enough, the family is not for me. But it is difficult not to respond to the call of nature, and the search begins again! It becomes a habit, even a sport if you will.
