Men's jeans are a favorite piece of clothing around which representatives of the stronger sex build their wardrobe.

No matter how many designers show amazing leather pants on the catwalks, young people will most often visit boutiques and shopping centers in order to buy another pair of jeans.

In 1853 Levi Strauss sewed the first pair of durable, comfortable working-class trousers - now worn by everyone from college students to Hollywood stars. Jeans are practical: they are easy to wash, have several pockets for various little things, they are combined with almost any wardrobe item (both with ordinary T-shirts, and with jackets and shirts, which we talked about above). However, designers modernize them year after year, experimenting with colors, styles, finishes.

White flag

White jeans are undoubtedly the "classics" of the warm season. In winter, early spring and autumn, you should not wear them, you will look simply ridiculous; besides, it is impractical, because, unfortunately, no one has canceled the dirt on city streets. The ideal time for these trousers is from early May to late September. Look for skinny white jeans in the new Balmain and Simon Spurr collections; straight cut models - from Dior Homme, Dsquared2, Roberto Cavalli; trousers with cuffs are available from Versace. Italians Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, among others, offer a model with decorative slits, and Belgian Dries Van Noten - irregularly (of course, intentionally) bleached jeans with a free cut. Open-toe summer sandals are definitely the best pairing with light-colored jeans. If the weather will not allow you to wear summer shoes, we advise you to combine white trousers with shoes of light shades (brown, gray, silver). However, black boots can also successfully fit into the image, provided the right accessories and other clothing items are selected - the Versace men's collection show leaves no doubt about this.

Grey Cardinal

Another jeans that are most appropriate in the warm season are gray jeans. Of course, they are not as whimsical to wear as white ones, but they look best when the snow melts and nature begins to flourish gradually. This season, designers offer both light gray shades (Dolce & Gabbana, Dsquared2, PRPS, Dior Homme) and dark gray, almost black trousers (Balmain, Mihara Yasuhiro, Paul Smith). Such jeans look best as one of the components of a monochrome image, therefore, when choosing a set, we advise you to rely not on color, but on details, decoration, a combination of fabrics of different textures. We could see a similar bow at the Paul Smith show: jeans with decorative seams were complemented by a chemise with a small unobtrusive print, a jacket with steel sheen, black ankle boots and a small hat. If gray trousers are a passed stage for you, pay attention to silver models; you will definitely find these in the Balmain and Versace collections this season.

Black square

With the appearance of the first rays of the sun, you should not put your favorite black jeans on the far shelf - judging by the men's spring-summer collections, even in the hot season they will still be in vogue. However, I'm not sure that on a sultry afternoon you would even want to go out in trousers, especially in such dark and dense ones. Therefore, if you cannot part with dark jeans even in summer, leave them for an evening out - put on a jacket with them, add a memorable pair of shoes and go to conquer the city at night. Black models were presented in the collections of Balmain, Dior Homme, Julius, Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, Dsquared2, Givenchy, John Galliano, Neil Barrett, Rick Owens, Robert Geller, Simon Spurr. Black jeans are truly versatile: they go well not only with bright contrasting colors (white, red), but also with all representatives of a restrained palette (brown, beige). So do not be afraid to combine them with a wide variety of things - leave a few boring "total black look" for the cold season.

Closer to the sky

It is unlikely that the day will come when traditional blue and blue jeans will no longer be in demand. Of course, it is the trousers of these colors that we most often saw during the spring-summer shows of the world's leading designers. So there shouldn't be any problems with choosing such a model - although, of course, problems with finding the "perfect pair" of jeans always arise, because it is not so easy to find one that will fit perfectly. The task will be greatly simplified if you know "passwords and accounts" - in other words, the names of brands that have decided to widely present such trousers in their new collections. You will definitely see blue ones in stores offering Dior Homme, Dolce & Gabbana, Dsquared2, Balmain, D&G, Loden Dager, Gilded Age, PRPS, Mihara Yasuhiro, Viktor & Rolf brands. Blue ones can be found at Balmain, Cycle, Band of Outsiders, Gianfranco Ferre, Burberry Prorsum, Dsquared2, Galliano, Michael Bastian, Gucci, Pringle of Scotland, Robert Geller, Simon Spurr. I think it's not worth telling you what and how to wear jeans in classic colors, you yourself are probably well informed about this - with anything and in any way!

Nowhere to go

I hasten to please fans of tight (and sometimes even just tight) jeans - models of this style are still in vogue and are unlikely to come out of it soon. If earlier it was most relevant to wear them with a voluminous "baggy" top, playing on contrasts, now designers insist on the need to emphasize a slender silhouette. At the Dolce & Gabbana show, designers complemented skinny light jeans with a thin sweater with sloppy long sleeves, and at the Gianfranco Ferre show, the emphasis on the figure was made using monochrome laconic things without unnecessary details. You can also find skinny jeans in the new collections of Burberry Prorsum, Dsquared2, Gareth Pugh, John Richmond, Robert Geller, Tom Rebl, Versace.

Freedom of choice

Lovers of comfort will also have something to see and try on. Loose-fitting trousers were not without at the set of spring-summer shows that took place as part of men's fashion weeks. You will surely find practical, relaxed jeans in the collections of Galliano, Dsquared2, Cycle, Dolce & Gabbana, Gilded Age, Rag & Bone. Such trousers go well with sneakers, open sandals, everyday models of boots (for example, from suede - especially in a light color). If you choose jeans of this style, do not forget that your appearance should still remain collected and neat - do not allow any negligence. It is very important that the pants you choose are the correct length and fit perfectly on you. Otherwise, from a stylishly and on the occasion of a young man dressed, you can, in the eyes of others, turn into a man who does not care about his own appearance. And this, of course, is not at all the goal that you want to achieve.

Classicism

Those who prefer classic cut jeans - not too tight, but not "hanging" - will also be able to easily replenish their wardrobe with a worthy model this season. The most exemplary pieces we saw at the Gucci and Loden Dager shows: rich blue color and perfect fit give them real "aristocrats", making them stand out from other couples. Similar jeans, but in light shades, can be found in the collections of Simon Spurr, PRPS and Pringle of Scotland. In search of the perfect match, it is also worth visiting the shops where the brands Dior Homme and Viktor & Rolf are represented. You can wear such trousers with anything - they will not only become an excellent basis for creating a comfortable everyday look, but also perfectly fit into a more sophisticated look (you just need to add neat boots, a jacket and a couple of accessories - like at the Gucci spring / summer show).

Lacerated wounds

Those who are tired of the classics will be pleased with the following news: ripped jeans, which many have liked, are still in vogue. They not only emphasize the rebellious spirit of the owner, but, perfectly fit into the casual style, make everyday things a little less commonplace. Of course, you can open a circle of "skillful hands" at home and build such trousers yourself: all you need for this is old jeans, scissors and a drop of imagination. But it is much easier (although, we admit, this is a less creative approach) to go shopping and choose the pair you like - FashionTime will tell you which brands collections you can definitely find intentionally sloppy-looking jeans. So, look for “completely torn” trousers from D&G, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior Homme, Galliano, Mihara Yasuhiro. If you are not yet ready to appear in public in such leaky jeans, take a look at the models presented in the spring-summer collections of Dsquared2, Dolce & Gabbana, Cycle, D&G. Ideal partners for ripped trousers in the new season will be plaid shirts, light-colored T-shirts (better - several worn on top of one another), the finest jumpers, ordinary white shirts, as well as open sandals with straps and light loafers.

Spotted color

Apparently, this season it is really important to wear jeans, at the first glance at which you get the feeling that you went through fire, water and copper pipes with them. In the wake of the zeal and imagination of torn trousers, stained models have come into fashion - and no, I'm not talking about the ketchup stains you put on your jeans last weekend. Designers are very responsible in creating each item from their new collection, so even the location of spots (like holes and slots, which we talked about in the last paragraph) is carefully thought out. Dries Van Noten, apparently, could not decide which jeans to present to him at his spring-summer show - white or classic blue - and therefore on the catwalk we saw "hybrids" of these two models. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana dyed one of the pair of light-colored trousers with small color strokes, while Dean and Dan Caten of Dsquared2 opted for jeans that seemed to be accidentally stained with white paint and putty. You will also find similar “spotted” models in the new collections of Mihara Yasuhiro, PRPS and Tom Rebl. If you buy jeans like this, keep one thing in mind - neatness. There should be no notorious ketchup stains on your trousers!

Lapel-turn

One of the hits at men's fashion weeks is undoubtedly the cuffed jeans. The folded hem instantly transforms an ordinary pair into a truly stylish pair, allowing the wearer to show off new shoes, moccasins or loafers in all their glory. If you want to wear pants this way, opt for straight or slightly (slightly!) Tapered models. It is worth getting inspired by looking at photos of things from the spring-summer collections of Dsquared2, Balmain, Band of Outsiders, D&G, Dior Homme, Gilded Age, Michael Bastian, Mihara Yasuhiro, Robert Geller. It is worth noting that you are free to make the lapel the way you want: to the ankle, slightly above it, or only to the ankle bone.

Chances are good that you will wear these trousers very often, combining them with a wide variety of things, and therefore you should not skimp - it is better to purchase several really good models that will last you more than one season. However, despite the fact that the temptation not to crawl out of your favorite jeans is huge, do not forget to experiment with your own appearance from time to time - if not now, then when?
