Probably each of us got into situations where passion overwhelms so much that none of the partners has enough strength to stop the love game.
Many couples use coitus interruptus (PA) as a method of contraception. This method of protection against unwanted pregnancy is as old as the world - a similar practice was known even before our era.
Despite the fact that modern medicine offers a wide range of effective contraceptives, most of us still prefer to interrupt pleasure. Why is this happening and how justified is it? We will talk about this in our article.
Pros of interrupted intercourse
Availability.
Probably each of us got into situations where passion overwhelms so much that none of the partners has enough strength to stop the love game. And if there was no condom at hand, then I absolutely do not want to run after it to the pharmacy, interrupting the magic. And this is where the good old PAP comes to the rescue.
Also, the availability of this method is expressed in the fact that it is completely free. For some, the amount spent on contraceptives offered by medicine is very significant, so many choose this "budget" option.
Ease of use
Many women are suspicious of hormonal drugs, because their use is a direct interference in the work of the body.

It is from the desire to make life easier for themselves and to protect the body from the invasion of mechanical devices and hormonal agents that many women choose interrupted sexual intercourse.
Vivid sensations
Many couples are reluctant to use condoms, as they sometimes desensitize both women and men. Representatives of the fair sex complain that arousal quickly fades away, and representatives of the stronger half admit that even when using ultra-thin condoms, the sensitivity of the penis is much lower than without rubber products.
And in the case of using PPA, the process is as close to natural as possible, no obstacles interfere with partners.
Cons of interrupted intercourse
Low degree of protection.
Doctors say that if you have used interrupted sexual intercourse for a year, but pregnancy has not occurred, this is the reason for the diagnosis of infertility. The fact is that sperm penetrate into the uterus not only during ejaculation, but also during intercourse. They are found in large quantities in the pre-seminal fluid. That is why experts unanimously declare: PPA is not a method of contraception.
Moreover, sperm has a certain "expiration date" - therefore, after each sexual intercourse, it is necessary to remove the traces of your caresses from the genitals of both partners, otherwise, with a new immersion in love, the possibility of getting pregnant greatly increases.
Sexually transmitted diseases

Interrupted intercourse does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases at all. Any contact with the mucous membrane of an infected partner can also cause your infection. Therefore, PPA as a method of contraception can only be used by partners who fully and completely trust each other.
Frigidity and impotence
Many psychologists and sexologists believe that interrupted intercourse can harm the sexual health of both men and women. As you know, during normal intercourse, ejaculation should occur reflexively, without the participation of our will.
With PPA, a man is waiting for ejaculation with intense attention. At the moment of the highest sense of voluptuousness, when nothing should distract him, he has to interfere with this reflex act by willpower, as a result of which there is a sharp change in sexual arousal by sudden inhibition. This can lead to serious problems in your sex life, such as premature ejaculation and poor erection.
The woman is also forced to monitor the moment of her partner's orgasm, which, of course, distracts her and prevents her from receiving all the rich palette of sensations that sex usually gives.
Medical data on this score are disappointing: among men after 30 years of age who have consulted a doctor with complaints of prostatitis, half regularly practiced interrupted intercourse, and among women who have never experienced an orgasm, about 50% regularly use this method of contraception.
Whether to use interrupted intercourse or not is everyone's business. However, I would like to recommend that you still think about the possible consequences, even if distant prospects at the moment of passion seem completely indifferent to you.
