How to choose a trendy and stylish hairstyle? To create a spectacular male hairstyle, you just need a little skill.

The stylists who worked at the men's fashion shows for the spring-summer season have created simple but beautiful styling for the models, to create which you need only a little skill, a couple of free minutes and a few accessories like hair wax and a comb. It is about fashionable men's hairstyles that will be discussed today. How to quickly create a hairstyle and where to get inspiration - in the following review:

Hair pulled back

Almost on a good half of men's shows, models went to the catwalk with their hair pulled back: sometimes it was smooth, strict hairstyles, but more often, on the contrary, softly lying strands combed back, as if deliberately removed from the forehead by hand. Both options are ideal for men with medium-length hair - "hedgehog", as you understand, will not work that way (however, it is difficult to imagine how it can be done at all).

Hair-to-hair hairstyles could be seen at the shows of Comme des Garcons, Corneliani (in the spring-summer advertising campaign of the brand, by the way, the same image is promoted), Dior Homme, Dunhill. All you need to create this style is a comb and a small amount of gel. I would like to emphasize that the word "small" in the previous sentence is key; no wet hair effect! Comb your hair back, rub a couple of drops of gel in your hands and run your palms through your hair towards the back of your head. Voila!

The second option, more casual, looks casual and stylish. This hairstyle will suit virtually any look: from a classic suit (Lagerfeld's spring / summer advertising campaign, Ermenegildo Zegna show) and its more relaxed summer variations (Costume National, Simon Spurr, Versace, Lanvin, Z Zegna) to casual clothes like trousers, shorts., cardigans, jumpers, jackets, raincoats, T-shirts, T-shirts (advertising for the Cesare Paciotti shoe brand, shows Dolce & Gabbana, Dsquared2, Dunhill, Etro, Iceberg, Gianfranco Ferre, Louis Vuitton, Rag & Bone, Number: Lab). To create this style, it is better to use hair wax: rub a small amount of the product in your hands and comb your hair back with your hands. But do not try to smooth them - the hairstyle should remain voluminous.

On a side parting

Another undisputed leader among hairstyles at spring-summer men's shows is side-part styling. Moreover, this parting was most often done on the left side, but the last word, of course, remains with you. The beauty of such a hairstyle is that it looks very "right", and also gives the young man gloss and neatness, but the impression that you pored in front of the mirror for half an hour in the morning over creating a perfectly even parting does not remain. To make such styling easier than easy: divide your hair into two unequal parts; Rub a little wax in your hands, smooth both parts down and back, but do not overdo it - the hair should lie freely, the volume should be preserved. If you prefer, you can apply a small amount of shine spray as a finishing touch. Before you start creating this simple yet effective styling, check out the photos from the shows of Canali, Corneliani, D&G, Dolce & Gabbana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Gianfranco Ferre, Salvatore Ferragamo, Simon Spurr. The stylists created the same hairstyles for the models and for the filming of advertising campaigns for Salvatore Ferragamo, Jil Sander and DKNY Men. Another undoubted plus of styling on a side parting: you can vary the degree of "smoothing", thereby creating different images - from business to extremely relaxed.

Slicked hair

The experiments continue! Gel and similar products definitely enjoyed unprecedented popularity among stylists behind the scenes of fashion shows for the spring-summer 2011 season. Smoothly licked (with a side parting or no parting at all) hair could be seen on many models at a large number of shows. Here are just a few of them: Corneliani, Dries van Noten, Duckie Brown, Dunhill, Emporio Armani, Gianfranco Ferre, Givenchy, Prada, Yves Saint Laurent. Such hairstyles will look perfect on young people of slender physique with expressive facial features - high cheekbones, a well-defined mouth, well-groomed eyebrows. Such styling requires either emphatically strict silhouettes in clothes (like Prada: a white shirt, a light blue jumper, a dark gray suit and black patent leather shoes), or very laconic forms (like a white shirt, black trousers, open sandals and a mustard double-breasted coat colors at the Dries van Noten show). In fact, you already know how to create such a hairstyle. You need to either smooth your hair towards the back of your head, or do the same after parting. As a result, you should get a smooth hairstyle without a single hair sticking out to the side - we are working for a perfect result!

Forward, only forward

However, not all designers gave stylists the task of combing / smoothing / slicking the models' hair towards the back of the head. No, everything is completely different, even if you already have that impression. On many shows, there was a fundamentally different approach to creating hairstyles: hair laid in front, covering the forehead and, often, eyebrows, could be seen in many shows. So, the rebellious spirit of the Burberry Prorsum spring-summer collection was supported by hairstyles in the style of "I woke up after a hard but insanely fun night, and I didn't have time to wash my hair." We saw similar styling during Viktor & Rolf Spring / Summer 2011. The hairstyles of some of the models on the runway during the Kenzo show evoked persistent associations with the hairstyle of George Harrison in the era of the early Beatles. They also decided to style their hair forward for the shows of Jean Paul Gaultier, Band of Outsiders, Patrick Ervell, Gucci, Pringle of Scotland, Phillip Lim, Richard Chai, Robert Geller. We saw similar hairstyles in some advertising campaigns: ck by Calvin Klein (starring Alexander Johansson, the authors are the magnificent duo of Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott) and Dior Homme (modeled by Baptiste Giabiconi; needless to say, Karl Lagerfeld held the camera). The easiest way to style your hair this way is to simply dry it and comb it towards the forehead; for greater effect, several strands can be highlighted with gel or wax. You should not be afraid to overdo it in this case, because if you overdo it, you will get exactly what was on the heads of the models from the Burberry Prorsum show. In general, “stylish, fashionable, youthful”.

Curls

All the styling that we talked about above is ideal for ordinary days filled with familiar things: work, going to the cinema and cafes, outdoor recreation, meeting friends, etc. But sometimes you need something more sophisticated and thoughtful - for example when you are about to attend an opera or any formal / gala event. For these cases, the perfect hairstyle with curls, which can be created on hair of medium length with absolutely any haircut. All you need to do is make a side parting, wind a few strands of hair on the hot tongs near your face (men, do not be afraid of them and think that only girls use hair styling devices - this is by no means the case), emphasize the curls with wax and fix the hair with varnish or just a shine spray. We saw such styling at the shows of Buckler, Dolce & Gabbana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Roberto Cavalli, Thom Browne and, of course, Versace - the stylists who worked at the last show showed their imagination to the fullest and created absolutely stunning fantasy hairstyles on the heads of the models. Before using hot tongs to refine your appearance, I advise you not only to carefully read the instructions for them, but also to revise the classic of modern cinema - the crime drama "The Talented Mr. Ripley" by Anthony Minghella with Matt Damon, Jude Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow starring. Law's character, Dickie Greenleaf, wins the hearts of girls throughout the film not only with his charming smile, but also with his curly hairstyle, which gives him a sophisticated aristocratic look.

Artistic mess

Styling, on which you have to spend the minimum amount of time, has already become a real classic. And it is called simply and succinctly - "artistic disorder". Men who lived at the beginning (and even in the middle) of the 20th century now would not have left the house with such a “styling” for any price, but for the 21st century such a hairstyle has become the norm. Surely you think that you don't need to do anything at all to create it, but I hasten to disappoint you - just getting out of bed, getting dressed and going about your business will not work. That is, you, of course, can do this, but then the word "artistic" in the name of this styling will have to be omitted. At the heart of such a hairstyle, of course, is healthy, well-groomed clean hair. After blow-drying, you are free to do whatever - beat them in any direction, comb or curl several strands, part and style your hair to one side or upward, fix it with a little gel or even matte hair paste. As a result, you should get a curvy enough hairstyle that will look like you didn’t do anything at all.

In addition, similar hairstyles are shown by models in several advertising campaigns for the upcoming season: Andres Velencoso Segura for Free Soul, Jon Kortajarena for Pepe Jeans, Marlon Teixeira for Ermanno Scervino, Nils Butler (Nils Butler) for Calvin Klein Menswear.

Whichever style you decide to opt for, you should always remember that the best hairstyle is the one that suits you, the one with which you feel comfortable and confident. It is worth following fashion for men, but only when it does not contradict your tastes and beliefs, your personal style and state of mind.
