Great posing is a lot of practice. Posing is hard in itself, and posing correctly is hundreds of times harder.

Live and learn! Performing at the pro tournaments brings with it a lot of competition. And to stand out among the monsters you need to have special qualities that distinguish you from the rest. The slightest flaws can seriously affect the result. Everything here is a summand of one whole.

1. How are you prepared: proportions, condition between top and bottom, visual sensation of round and puffy muscles, absence of lagging muscle groups, relief.

2. Politics (the first is very difficult to implement without the second).

3. Correct presentation of yourself on stage - posing.

I have never considered myself ideal in posing, I am not talking about the free program. We are talking about 7 basic postures in bodybuilding, which ultimately decide the fate of the athlete. When I was still performing in amateurs, I felt that I was always doing something wrong, I was not modifying the poses. But at this stage, this was enough for me to win or be among the prize-winners. But in the pros, this number does not work. We have to re-learn. My friends told me: "Oleg, you can be twice as good if you turn on correctly!"

One of the best masters in presenting himself on stage was and is the famous Chris Cormier. And I was lucky that my friend has a friendly relationship with him and I was able to take some personal sessions from him. The lessons were held in Golds Jim, in a special posing room. The correct arrangement of the mirrors gives a complete overview of all angles when setting poses. The light is infinitely adjustable to match the athlete's skin tone. Ashamed to admit, I did almost everything wrong and did not modify it. Therefore, on stage, I seem to be visually smaller than I could be. Chris told me a lot of nuances that I didn't even know about.

And more … Great posing is a lot of practice. A lot of time should be devoted to this, and not left to the last moment, as is usually done. Posing is hard in itself, and posing correctly is hundreds of times harder. Ten sweats were removed from me, the pain in the muscles, afterwards, was unbearable. It was almost impossible to keep your face relaxed during the performance. What made me happy was Chris's comment, he said that he did not expect to see me in good condition and good progress in a year and a half.

Practice, practice, practice! And thanks to Chris!
