Do I need to carry tools, spare parts, fasteners in the car? And what if the car stopped in the wilderness, where there is not a soul or a car service for a hundred miles?
Now many start out on the road, relying only on universal tools - a mobile phone and money. But isn't it a shame to wait half a day for help, and then find out that he could revive the car himself - if he knew how.
Imagine: the car stopped in the wilderness, where there is not a soul, not a car service for a hundred miles! Over time, of course, they will find you - after all, someone is driving along the road. But if there is something in your head about the device of the car, and the malfunctions are simple or obvious, you can save yourself on your own, there would be a suitable "medicine" in the trunk - a tool and a spare part. Don't be surprised, I'll start with the glasses. Spectacled people will need those in which details are clearly visible at a distance of 0.15–1 m, otherwise the repair may end before it has begun.
What keys to carry is a master's business. The stocky one would rather put them in a whole suitcase than go "naked". Let them never be useful, but they warm the soul! "Power" (19 mm and more), a sledgehammer and a vice usually rumble in the trunk idle. Few people will start repairing the suspension in the steppe without a threat to their lives. We are constantly repeating about the prevention of such breakdowns - the car should not "crumble" suddenly! To do this, repairs should be transferred to the category of planned preventive measures and done in a normal workshop. Of course, adventurers do not count - they must be trained people, they can fix everything with a stick and a rope.

Keys - balloon, candle, - like the jack, should always be in the trunk. (It is useful to test a new jack at once with full load - its breakdown can cost too much!) Here is a set of screwdrivers, including very short ones and "torxes". Small files are desirable - needle files, pliers, scissors, barbs, a knife, a file, a small hammer, a piece of a hacksaw, a piece of sandpaper. A strong magnet will come in handy - by fixing it on the wire, you can easily get the screw rolled into the slot with it. For checking electrical engineering - a control lamp with two wires. But for the injection electronics, a probe with an LED is needed.
About clothes and shoes. It would be nice to put on a spacious robe (with ties instead of buttons - so as not to scratch the paint). Cloth, tight-knit gloves will save hands, rubber boots will help out in bad weather. A waterproof mat will help you to work under the machine.
Now about liquids. If a red light flashes, indicating low oil pressure, we will immediately check its level. A liter of engine oil stored in the trunk can be very useful. In a hopeless position, it can be topped up in a box or power steering. But the machine does not tolerate "someone else's" oil. Another indicator of foresight is a bottle of brake fluid and a liter or two of fuel. Soap, a bottle of water and clean rags are essential companions for a seasoned driver.
Another box - spare parts and accessories. These are candles, high-voltage wires, an ignition coil, a switch. For old cars - breaker, capacitor, slider, Hall sensor. Headlight lamps, throttle and clutch cables, alternator belt (especially if it drives the cooling system pump) are not asked to eat either. As for the timing belt, on most modern engines, its breakage will force you to look for a tow truck - all the same, the valves will bend from meeting the pistons. If the motor of your car is not "plug-in", it makes sense to put this belt in the box too.

A small puncture in the tire can be healed with a special liquid. A larger puncture - with a repair rubber band. Nowadays, these products are not unusual. The most reliable pump is a manual pump with a leather cuff that is almost eternal. But now the motorist has gone gentle, most of him does not own the pump … Those who prefer a tire compressor should be sure that it is working properly.
A bayonet shovel will come in handy for those traveling along country roads, and in winter - a wider shovel, chains or their analogues. Having skidded, you will understand how exaggerated the role of spikes and a toothed tread is in literature.
By the way, the hatchet will come in handy: cut down a slug or something else …
Some repair materials will also do the trick. The radiator or the gas tank fitting will flow - the fistula can be closed up with "cold welding". Sometimes irreplaceable silicone sealant, universal glue "Moment", plasticine, electrical tape, a coil of electrical wire, a flap of rubber, plastic, leather. A soft knitting wire is easy to secure a torn off muffler or something else. Mental comfort will be created by a box with screws, nuts, washers, springs, etc. And do not forget the cable and money.
