The BORODULIN`S brand presented its autumn-winter 2010/11 collection "SOLYARIS" at RFW. The source of inspiration was Andrei Tarkovsky's film Solaris.
To embody their philosophical concept, the designers chose models that are complex in graphics, contrasting, with clear lines, but asymmetric in structure. Round voluminous shoulders, glasses, silvery fabrics, high leather gloves created an atmosphere of space, alien. Black lines, as if tracing a figure on a white dress, belts, fitted silhouettes that emphasize the outlines of the figure, a creative combination of translucent and dense fabrics gave the collection an atmosphere of femininity and sensuality. The combination of the cosmic with the natural gave the desired effect: a feeling of the transcendent, mysterious in the familiar, natural.
The accents in the collection are arranged as follows: length - mini and over the knee, silhouette - hourglass, asymmetry in harmony with symmetry, a combination of glossy and matte, black and white, a combination of tradition and a fashionable look into the future.
Most of the models are made of the favorite material of designers - knitted jersey. The leather dress and jacket add a touch of ultramodernity. Metal accessories seem to be made of unearthly alloys and unearthly technology. The flowing dress, tied with a silver waistcoat belt, embodies the idea of cosmic elegance.
The color palette of the collection turned out to be very clear and contrastingly saturated: these are graphite shades, monochrome white, black, gray, metallic. The effect is enhanced by bright accents made by designers - purple and berry red.
BORODULIN`S brand show closed the fourth day of RFW. In general, the show was very large-scale and left a lot of good reviews and impressions from the audience. The number of those wishing to see the show significantly exceeded both the size of the hall and the number of invitations themselves giving the opportunity to attend the show. The collection featured 50 models united by a single theme and a strong creative concept. Of course, the designers also carefully considered the design of the catwalk, creating an unearthly atmosphere necessary to demonstrate their collection.
The models seemed to come out of a spaceship. The musical accompaniment of the collection was in incredible harmony with the design of the hall, the atmosphere created in it and, of course, with the collection itself.
According to the designers Anna and Alexei Borodulins themselves, the effect of the current participation in the new RFW season has brought many important business proposals, new friends in the fashion sector and temporary creative satisfaction. After all, designers understand that they cannot be satisfied with what has already been achieved and after a short break it is already necessary to start developing a new promising collection for spring-summer 2011.
