It is the sacred duty of every soldier to carry out the order of the commander at any cost, but survival during the performance of combat missions for each soldier is a purely personal matter.
Advice for the future warrior.
There is a proverb: "One is not a warrior in the field." Any war, as you know, is a collective affair and, nevertheless, all military units from a platoon to a division and an army consist of lone warriors, doing in the end one common work. The sacred duty of every soldier at any cost to carry out the order of the commander, but survival during the execution of combat missions for each soldier is a purely personal matter. Some fighters manage to take part and survive in several wars, others die in the very first attack or in a combat clash. Of course, there is an element of luck in any business, but there is also something else that helps to survive in the most murderous situations.
One of my relatives, who fought the entire Finnish and the entire Great Patriotic War, accompanied me to the army and admonished me. “You have to fight wisely, cowards die first, you can't be too heroic either. During the attack, run close to the commander. Enemies will shoot either at the commander or at the crowd of other attackers. Nobody shoots a soldier alone. " In those days, I never heard the old man's words. I heard his stories about Finnish cuckoos, frostbite, German mines and customs more than once, and I managed to ignore the most valuable information. And only then I realized that besides luck there is also skill. You have to learn everything and hope for help from your own commander is not particularly worth it. The tasks and ultimate goals of commanders and their subordinates are too different.

1. The fighter himself needs to think over the entire upcoming battle to the last detail. Do not think that your opponent is a complete idiot and does not want to survive himself. This means that your opponent will certainly make his own adjustments to the course of the battle, and you should know or guess in advance which ones.
2. In addition to the direction of your main blow, consider fallbacks and directions of other blows. Do not forget about the options for a safe withdrawal and transition to the flanks or to the rear of the enemy. Just do not confuse a maneuver with a withdrawal and a change of position with a flight without looking back. It is better to retreat to tactically more convenient positions in an organized manner than to take the battle in an inconvenient place for battle. It is during an unorganized retreat or flight from the battlefield that most of the manpower perishes. A heroic fight in a place that is inconvenient for you and convenient for the enemy will also lead to complete defeat.

The tactics of the battle of a lone warrior are in principle similar to the tactics of the battle of a platoon and a company, but there are differences. There is no one to support you with fire, but there is no need to worry about the flanks.
And most importantly, always choose the option when you can win the battle not posthumously. Remember! It is better to throw a grenade into the embrasure of a pillbox than to cover it with your body. Perhaps for a pillbox destroyed by a grenade, you will not be rewarded and will not be noticed at all. They don't reward for shrewdness, they reward for bravery. But this is precisely the whole point of the Lone Warrior's battle: "Solve a combat mission and stay alive."

Perhaps you have not learned anything new in this article, but is it possible to teach a whole science with a few, general advice? Of course not. But nevertheless, the future warrior "The tactics of the battle of a loner" must be studied in advance and at least for a solid C.
