Beauty injections are one of the most popular ways to rejuvenate. What are they, are they suitable for everyone and how much do they cost? mesotherapy, muscle relaxation, injection contour plastics, ozone therapy
This principle - the introduction of various drugs under the skin - was invented in the middle of the 19th century. and at first it was used not for cosmetic, but for medical purposes. It turned out that injecting medicine into that part of the body where it should act is sometimes more effective than injecting traditionally into the gluteus muscle or vein. Later, at the end of the same XIX century, with the help of "acupuncture" began to correct defects in appearance such as thin lips, sagging cheeks and deep wrinkles. The patient's own fat was taken as a "filler". However, it was absorbed too quickly. Then they began to use paraffin, but soon this idea had to be abandoned. Having hardened, the paraffin led to poor circulation and even blood poisoning.
In the 60s. XX century the era of silicone has begun. With the help of silicone gel, a luxurious bust, full lips and a smooth, wrinkle-free face were obtained. However, this substance also turned out to be unsafe: after 8-10 years, the shell of the implants could collapse, the gel got into the tissues and caused inflammation, and sometimes provoked the formation of malignant tumors.
But the scientists didn't give up. In the end, they managed to find substances that would have a rejuvenating effect and at the same time would not be perceived by the body as foreign.
MESOTHERAPY
The oldest of all techniques, which has not lost its relevance over the years.
WHAT IT REDUCES
Smoothes fine wrinkles, makes the skin more elastic, stimulates the synthesis of its own collagen. Especially effective in the area of delicate skin under the eyes and against the beginning of "crow's feet". In addition, mesotherapy is good for reducing body volume and reducing the appearance of cellulite, however, here, of course, it is no longer necessary to inject in the face.
ACTIVE SUBSTANCES

Muscle relaxation
This technique is based on muscle relaxants - substances that relax muscles.
LEAST
40% people who have experienced action on myself botox, subsequently Come running TO THESE BITS AGAIN AND AGAIN |
WHAT IT REDUCES
From vertical and horizontal mimic wrinkles in the forehead and on the bridge of the nose. Crow's feet are straightened in the corners of the eyes, caused by constant squinting. However, these injections are not recommended for correcting nasolabial folds: there is a risk that the person will not be able to eat or smile.
ACTIVE SUBSTANCES
Botulinum toxin A (aka neurotoxin), produced by the microorganisms Clostridium botulinum. It causes muscle paralysis. For beauty injections, the poison is obtained in the laboratory, thoroughly purified and combined with special proteins. So in this case, it is absolutely under the control of the doctor and is safe. In our country, mainly two drugs with botulism toxin are used: botox produced by Allergan (USA) and dysport from Beaufour Ipsen International (France). The difference is that in dysport the concentration of botulinum toxin is lower.
HOW DOES IT WORK
Our facial muscles are too often tense, and because of this, wrinkles begin to furrow the skin above them. But the muscles do not contract by themselves, but under the influence of nerve impulses. Botulism toxin blocks nerve transmission, and the muscle relaxes without receiving a signal. As a result, the skin is smoothed.
PECULIARITIES

Botox is the only one of all beauty injections that is given intramuscularly. Dysport can be injected using the mesotherapy technique, that is, into the skin or subcutaneously. The fact is that sometimes it is necessary to relieve tension, for example, in the neck area, where it is difficult to pinch all the neuromuscular nodes precisely. Subcutaneous injections cover a larger area and act more gently.
Both drugs are non-addictive and act on the muscles from 2 to 8 months (on average, 4-6). But this is subject to an accurate introduction, which is very important. The procedure takes 15-20 minutes. The first changes on the face are noticeable no later than a week later. The day before the procedure, alcohol is contraindicated, after it you cannot lie down for 4 hours, drink antibiotics, analgesics and, again, alcohol. It is not recommended to touch the face for 12 hours; it is forbidden to play sports for several days. Injections are available from the age of 25.
PROS
+ Simple and fast.
+ Time-tested.
+ Minimum side effects and contraindications.
+ Almost painless compared to the previous technique.
MINUSES
- Does not eliminate wrinkles and folds caused by loss of skin tone - only those in which the muscles are to blame.
- Does not improve complexion.
- Sometimes there are bruises.
PRICE
From € 90 depending on the amount of drug used. So, one unit of Botox costs from 175 rubles, dysport is about three times cheaper. One zone requires an average of 10-12 units.
INJECTION PLASTIC CONTOUR
Another name for the technique is the introduction of fillers (from the English filler - filler).
WHAT IT REDUCES
From wrinkles and folds - both small and shallow, and serious furrows on the cheeks, chin, lips, neck, décolleté, hands. Using this technique, you can also change the shape of the face, the shape of the cheekbones, lips, chin.
ACTIVE SUBSTANCES
BEAUTY INJECTIONS
IN WHICH CASES CONTRAINDICATED • pregnancy; • chronic autoimmune diseases; • some nervous illness; • allergy to this a drug; • flu, colds; • skin infections in the injection zone drug. |
Traditionally, they are divided into three groups.
1. Long-acting synthetic gels (biopolymer gel, silicone-1000, outline, etc.). These are drugs that can only be removed by surgery. If something went wrong, for example, the doctor's hand trembled and the drug got into the wrong zone, the error can only be corrected with a scalpel. Another risk is that in 3-5 years the gel can move under the skin, form lumps, etc. Therefore, despite the relative cheapness of such drugs, now they are almost never used.
2. Biodegradable or biocompatible materials (hyaluronic, polylactic acid, natural collagen). They themselves are absorbed in the body. The duration of the action of such drugs is shorter than that of the previous ones, but they are much safer: if the doctor did something wrong, over time everything will pass by itself, or rather, will be excreted from the body.
The most popular are preparations based on hyaluronic acid (perline, restylane, surjiderm, voluma, teosial, resoplast, kosmoderm, juvederm). The fact is that hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the tissues of our body, it is she who retains water molecules in them. With age, this beneficial acid becomes less and less, hence the dry skin. The effect of the introduction of such fillers is from 6 months to 1, 5 years.
Polylactic acid (on its basis the sculpture preparation, formerly known as Newfill, is made) stimulates collagen synthesis. Two injections are enough for its production to jump by 40%. The effect lasts for 2 years.
3. Combined materials, representing a biodegradable gel with a synthetic filler (evolution, artekoll, dermalife, revederm, matriderm, matridex). The first (usually the same hyaluronic acid) is the carrier for the second, which just fills the voids in the skin. However, the second substance is removed much worse than the first. Therefore, the risk of side effects is higher, but the duration of the action is longer - 3-5 years.
HOW DOES IT WORK
The filler preparation fills the empty volume, replenishes the lack of moisture and restores the turgor of the cells, due to this, the skin is lifted and smoothed - like in youth.
PECULIARITIES
Compared to mesotherapy, in contour plastics, the needle is inserted deeper and at a different angle. The choice of a specific filler depends on the age of the client, the condition of his skin and what kind of result you want to get. Not the least role is played by the doctor himself, who selects the drug based on his education and experience. Good doctors try to use drugs that are maximally excreted from the body. Another rule: it is better to pump a smaller amount of the drug and, if necessary, give another injection later than to inject a lot at once and get bloated. Usually, the deeper the wrinkles, the more “vigorous” substance you have to choose. So, for clients 35-45 years old, biodegradable materials are most often used, and after 50 - combined ones.
The procedure takes 15-40 minutes. The more the drug is injected, the more painful, therefore, for example, filling the nasolabial folds requires local anesthesia. But the effect is visible immediately. Repeated injections for the correction of wrinkles and folds are carried out after 8-12 months, with a change in the shape of the lips - after 6-8 months. But again, a lot depends on the characteristics of the skin. In principle, the procedure is available for any age, but up to 25-30 years, usually only the shape of the lips or cheekbones is corrected, wrinkles and folds are removed after 35-40 years.
Restrictions before and after the procedure, as in the previous method: the day before the injection, do not drink alcohol, after the injection do not lie for several hours, do not play sports for a week, do not go to the bathhouse, do not sunbathe.
Separately, it should be said about BIOREVITALIZATION. This procedure is a kind of synthesis of mesotherapy and contour plastics. Drugs from the group of biodegradable fillers are used (based on hyaluronic acid, for example, Restylane vital, surdzhilift, IAL-system), and they are administered according to the principle of mesotherapy. The preparations not only retain moisture, but also stimulate the synthesis of the skin's own hyaluronic acid. This procedure is most useful for skin regeneration after severe radiation, after harsh chemical peels, resurfacing and plastic surgeries. Usually, two procedures are done, 2-3 injections in 1-2 weeks, then they are repeated in a maintenance mode - once every 8-12 months.
PROS
+ Restores skin tone, elasticity and color.
+ Visibly lifts the face.
+ Improves the moisture balance of the skin.
+ Slows down aging.
+ Gives a quick effect.
MINUSES
- Quite painful.
- There are bruises, swelling, but this largely depends on the qualifications of the doctor.
- After biorevitalization, small bumps appear, which disappear in a few days.
- If the gel is inserted incorrectly, lumps and lumps appear.
- Until the previous filler has resolved, it is better not to do a new injection.
PRICE
From € 230 up to € 670 per injection, depending on the drug. Some clinics offer a free or significantly discounted procedure after facial plastic surgery (for example, after an eyelid lift).
OZONE THERAPY
Everyone knows that it is good to breathe ozone. But for rejuvenation it is much more useful to prick it inside!
WHAT IT REDUCES
Helps to remove fine wrinkles, puffiness, bags under the eyes, to tighten the oval of the face, improves the color and tone of the skin. It is important that this is the only technique that not only rejuvenates the skin of the face, but also heals the entire body, normalizing the functioning of the immune system. In addition, ozone therapy is used to get rid of stretch marks, cellulite, and acne.
ACTIVE SUBSTANCES
A mixture of ozone and oxygen, the former helps the latter to assimilate.
HOW DOES IT WORK
Ozone in high concentrations is a natural sterilizer. In minimal doses, it enhances the activity of the internal antioxidant system, improves oxygen supply to all tissues and organs, and as a result, rejuvenation occurs. In addition, the synthesis of its own collagen is enhanced, old skin cells are quickly replaced with new ones.
PECULIARITIES
Using a microscopic needle, the mixture is injected under the skin. The procedure takes 20-40 minutes, the course is from 2 to 10 procedures, which should be done 2-3 times a week. It is recommended to conduct the course twice a year. Available from the age of 18.
PROS
+ Not only rejuvenates locally, but also improves the functioning of the immune system and the body as a whole.
+ Smoothes wrinkles, improves complexion and skin tone.
+ Does not burden the kidneys, liver and gallbladder, does not cause addiction.
MINUSES
- Deep wrinkles are not removed as noticeably as with fillers.
- Does not relax facial muscles as effectively as botulism toxin.
PRICE
One procedure - from € 30 per person, from € 70 for the face, neck and décolleté.
THE BUSINESS OF DOCTORS
Please note that all injection techniques are solely the business of doctors. Neither a nurse nor a cosmetologist without medical education has the right to give beauty injections. The ideal option is a dermatocosmetologist. At the same time, the clinic must have a license for medical (and not cosmetology!) Activities issued by the Ministry of Health and Social Development. The technique itself must have a registration certificate, which describes who the developer of the method is, what it is based on, what it is used for, contraindications and the materials used. And for each drug there must be a so-called certificate of conformity of medical injectable drugs, which is issued by certification bodies. Keep in mind that the certificate contains not only the name of the drug, but also its series and batch number. If the drug is supplied not in ampoules, but in syringes - a number for each syringe.
In addition, the clinic is obliged to conclude an agreement with the patient in duplicate, which just says what you will be entered - name, manufacturer, series, batch number, expiration date of the drug and the number of units injected. The contract must indicate contraindications and recommendations for behavior before and after the injection, so by signing, you agree to comply with them. If you do not comply, you can get lumps and inflammation on your face, but you yourself, not the doctor, will be to blame.
